Sažetak
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) have a potential to radically improve perfomance measures of traffic processes management both on technological and beyond technological levels. Respecting this fact, the main thesis elaborated in this paper is that effective ITS planning and implementation (&#61614 ; National ITS architecture) necesserily include user&#8211 ; driven approach related with technological enablers and concrete space-time frames. Application of technological marketing concept based on what/how cycle is suggested as the key part of methodological framework for ITS evolutionary deplayment strategy in tranzition countries. The ITS potentially users are initially asked on what they need and/or want from ITS by agreeing on the problems and objectives. After discussion and agreement between all main participants, the second question how is considered on technological level (which includes technical solutions). Concept is illustrated using the case of Birdview navigation system as an effective sollution to the drivers access to large amounts of ITS related information.
