Sažetak
After the first attempt of verification of the Big-Five in Croatia (Knezovic & Mlacic, 1992), we conducted another study relevant for the development of Croatian taxonomy of personality descriptive terms. We tried to compare factor structures of transparent and opaque formats of the 50-BRS, using two different age group samples: 1) 194 students, 98 of whome completed the transparent format of the 50-BRS, and 96 of whom completed the opaque format of the same instrument. 2) 448 high school students, 212 of whome completed the transparent format of the 50-BRS, and 236 of whome completed the opaque format. The results are: 1) In both samples the transparent format produces more univocal factorial structure, and the format has more influence on Agreeableness and Intellect, then on Introversion-Extraversion, Conscientiousness and Emotional Stability factors, confirmed also with congruence coeeficients. 2) Age gropus differ somewhat in the transparent format factor structure - in student's sample 82% of the scales had their highest loading on the anticipated factor, compared with 90% in high school sample. Factor structure of the opaque format was identical for two samples - 68% of the scales had their highest loading on the anticipated factor.
