Sažetak
Grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) is an agricultural crop that is economically significant for the Zadar county area. There is a wide range of measures in IPM that are manifested on the stability of cultivars for the production of wine. Scale insects (Hemiptera: Coccoidea) are an economic pest on perennial fruit trees. Species of these pests are described by a common number of features. Pests suck herbal juices, and they secrete the honeydew. Honeydew cause the occurrence of fungi, but also the increased arrival of the ants on the grape. Scale insects in certain years are a significant economic pest on the grape. The purpose of this work was to determine the effect of different measures in reducing the population of scale insects on vine. The field trial was carried out on the location of Baštica, located in the municipality of Poličnik, Zadar's county hinterland “Ravni Kotari”. The experiment has been set up on the “Chardonnay” variety of grapevine by five-treatments random distribution scheme in four repetitions during two years 2017 and 2018. The basic plot of the variant is three vines in a row. First treatment was control, second, mechanical cleaning of vine, third, chemical treatment (mineral oil), fourth, mechanical cleaning of vine with chemical treatment (mineral oil), and fifth, chemical treatment (spirotetramat). In order to determine the infection, samples of vine crust and sprout were collected before and after the treatment. Species Planococcus ficus (Signoret, 1875) - Mediterranean vine mealybug was an officially determinate as a predominant scale insect on all treatments. Samples from each treatment were examined by binoculars, and the number of P. ficus was recorded. The final result was obtained by comparing the number of P. ficus populations on the causes of the treatments before and after the methods were applied. EPPO guidelines have been used to detect the infection and the number of P. ficus on vines. The efficiency of an individual treatment was calculated by Abbott and Henderson-Tilton, the final results were processed by statistical analysis of ANOVA. The results were evaluated by Duncan's rank test. Treatments in which we mechanically cleaned tree and which we mechanically cleaned together with copper (mineral oil) treatment resulted in better suppressing the number of P. ficus. Results showed that during the two-year research mechanical measures are more promised in suppression of scale insect P. ficus. Because of some reason scale insects find themselves a hidden place under the tree crust depends the year of investigation. The mechanical measure is “must be” measure used in P. ficus control on grapevine variety “Chardonnay” in the locality of Baštica. Research benefits to the stability of production of grapes from variety Chardonnay by IPM principles in Zadar's county hinterland “Ravni Kotari”.
