Sažetak
Development of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications enable more efficient, safe and environmentaly compatible transportation of people and goods from place to place using advanced telecommunications and information technology. Concept of ITS support new view to the transportation and telecommunication systems as a strongly integrated systems on technological and non&#8211 ; technological levels. Needs for global interoperability and effective integration (functional, institucional and data integration) are considered. New generalized system approach based on generic traffic theory is suggested.
