Sažetak
The quality of transport service is conditioned by the development of the transport system and the transport infrastructure, which has a direct impact on the economic development of a country or region. The need for improving technical-technological features of the transport route and transport infrastructure has been implemented in national and international traffic strategies with a view to the long-term development of the transport system. Accordingly, the purpose of this research is to determine the technical and technological features of the transport routes and their impact on the quality of the service on the appropriate transport route in order to meet the users’ requirements. This paper deals with technical and technological features and the possibility of applying modern transport technologies on the part of the transport route Vb (Zagreb - Rijeka), thus significantly increasing the efficiency, speed and quality of the transport service. The results of the conducted research aim to point out the advantages and disadvantages of Zagreb - Rijeka route, considering its technical and technological features in order to improve the transport service quality.
