Sažetak
In recent years, excavations at Velimirovac – Arenda 1, Donji Miholjac – Vrancari and Podgorač – Ražište sites yielded new data about middle Neolithic settlement infrastructures and the remains of material culture in Drava river valley (northern Croatia). For the first time, purely LBK site was revealed south of Drava river sheading a new light on the dispersal of this culture in its early phase. Combined with new interpretation of Virovitica – Brekinja site and some new radiocarbon dates from the recent excavations, transition from Starčevo culture to LBK, emergence of Ražište style and its development under the Vinča influence could be outlined south of Drava river. New interpretation is given for chronological sequence (5450–4900 BC) of the middle Neolithic in this specific micro region. Results are compared with data from Szederkény-Kukorica-dűlő and other sites from Hungarian Baranya region adding to the newly developed discussion about Starčevo–LBK–Ražište–Vinča connections.
