Sažetak
Construction industry is type of industry in which most of projects in their life cycle produces large amount of documentation of all kind and form including drawings, cost and time plans, analysis, reports and much more. Project managers in construction sector have to deal with issues of fragmentation and abovementioned excessive amount of documents. Usage of IT for purpose of facilitation of project collaboration and communication came later then in some other sectors and industries. Regardless in last 10 years, we are witnessing significant progress especially in field of web based project management systems (WPMS). Many researches are focused on solving problem of implementation, widespread adoption and other questions related to organizational aspect of WPMS but little attention is given to project manager’s perception and comprehension of those applications. Based on literature review a set of criteria for WPMS selection process is identified. For that purpose, both papers dealing with features and capabilities of WPMS and papers dealing with role and main activities of construction project manager are analysed. Initial set of criteria is tested on pilot project during implementation of WPMS in front phase of mega project and recommendations fur further development of criteria are provided.
