Sažetak
The question of the moral obligation to obey the law raises fundamental questions regarding the nature of both law and morals and their mutual relation, and as such is easily one of the most continuously discussed topics in legal theory. The purpose of this paper is to present some arguments of the position advocating the separation of law and morals in the context of the question of a moral obligation to obey the law from the background of the integral theory of law (integralna teorija prava), the representative for legal theory in Croatia. The first part of the paper will very briefly present the historical development and positions in contemporary legal theory in Croatia through the presentation of the integral theory of law of Nikola Visković, and in the second part the position on the relationship between law and morality and the question of the moral obligation to obey the law will be elaborated from the mentioned perspective.
