Sažetak
Nautical tourism ports are one of the main indicators of development and prosperity of nautical tourism. It is considered that nautical tourism industry as a segment of Croatian strategic economic orientation significantly participates in the national economy. Creating benefits to both regional and local communities the need arises to analyse nautical tourism port business trends to identify comparative advantages, examine competitiveness and indicate development perspectives of the prosperous industry. The paper indicates the discrepancies in achieving profitability considering the use of available resources in the provision of nautical tourism services. The development perspec tives should be accompanied with adoption and increase in quality and value for money of products and services of demanding users. It requires infrastructural investments, especially providing the possibility to accommodate to the growing demand in the superyacht category and redefinition of price policy in order to maintain compe titiveness and achieve sustainability.
