Sažetak
The quality of life decreases as a consequence of body deformations and disability caused by different life circumstances, leading to each person having to make some particular changes in their personal life habits. What and how to dress is an everyday question of each person regardless of their age, health or performance of daily activities. Getting dressed is a particular challenge for people with disabilities specially for those who are restricted by the use of wheelchairs. This work paper presents their perception of the limitations they experience in the context of everyday activities such as getting dressed and undressing. Ten women in the sitting position (wheelchair users) in the age of 34-50 have been surveyed. The results given by questionnaire and their analysis point to new guidelines for better functional design of women’s garments and textile fabrics. In particular, the functional model of skirts for women has been explored in this work paper and which could create a template for women with disabilities.
