Sažetak
Aiming the determination of the differences in the surface temperature of cornea and rump measured by thermographic camera due to horse type (warm- blooded, and coldblooded), 10 healthy horses were measured. During the measurements, both horses’ eyes (cornea, left and right) and rump (left and right) were shot using thermographic camera (Testo 872). The pictures were processed with the relevant software (testo-ComSoft-Basic- 5) for thermogram reading. Furthermore, for statistical analysis SAS / STAT was used. The research results point out the variability in surface temperature measured by thermographic camera of all analysed traits (cornea, left and right ; rump, left and right) in regard to horses’ type (warm-blooded and coldblooded). Generally, lower values of measured parameters were determined in cold-blooded horses comparing to the warm-blooded. The minimum difference in mean values in amount of 0.51oC was determined for surface temperatures of right cornea, while the maximum difference in amount of 1.69oC was determined for right rump. Obtained results indicate existence of difference in horses’ surface temperature (cornea, and rump) caused by the horse type. Furthermore, aiming more detailed explanation, measurements on larger population are needed.
