Sažetak
Analysis of functional characteristics, safety aspects and environmental impact of each projected solution is an integral part of the methodology of transport infrastructure design. Application of microsimulation models in traffic analysis is a common professional practice and the reality of modeling results depends on the success of the calibration process. A neural network approach for calibration of microsimulation traffic model is the calibration method developed in the cooperation of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Osijek and Faculty of Civil Engineering in Maribor. Within the Internal Project of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Osijek microsimulation model (VISSIM) is used in the analysis of children pedestrian movements with the aim of the improvement of pedestrian safety of children in the transportation network of the city of Osijek.
