Sažetak
The article describes the use of high pressure laminate for exterior furniture with a minimum of metal connectors. Despite the fact that high pressure laminate has excellent weather resistance as evidenced when used on modern building envelopes, it is necessary to address the issues of design in relationship to the CNC router use that influence the design of the product on the rebound and the steadiness of the joins. Massive wood was included in the project since most users give clear priority to massive wood for exterior furniture. Using massive wood helps the design of exterior furniture develop in more imaginative and user friendly ways, but it brings further technical problems in joining two different materials. One of the main goals of this project is the use of non-screwed joints within the entire construction of the furniture. As a result, the design process of a family of exterior furniture (bench, table and a side table) with similar material and design solutions is described.
