Sažetak
21st century brings amount of novelties in the schools and traditional classrooms. The most evident changes are happened in the methods of teaching and tools used for teaching process. The one of them is IT technology. Computers entered into the classrooms as necessity of working and learning. But, what happened with the furniture used in the classrooms? Is furniture changed in its function and design? The paper analyse the problem of using IT technology in the classrooms and design of the furniture. The main challenge on design and function become how IT could be fit to school furniture, and opposite, how the school furniture could fit to IT devices. The relationships between functions, shape and function-expenses are defined and designed at every step of the development (design). The paper describes the process of this approach used in school table design to eliminate redundant functions in adaptations to IT technology in classroom.
