Sažetak
Sustainable development has been seen as a new paradigm of development. It replaced the Limits to Growth discourse of the 1970s. Economic growth is the only dimension of sustainability that has the strongest impact on the achievement of sustainable development. Economic growth influences coupled social and ecological systems at the local, regional and global scale. It is interesting to observe the role economic growth has in reaching sustainable development and whether current dynamics of economic growth foster sustainable development or we have an adverse situation.
