Sažetak
It is importand that, inspite all the untoward conditions for science and scientific ublishing (from ideological to economical) The Croatian Society of Natural Sciences has managed to continue publishing four issues of PB (Periodicim Biologorum) yearly. Unfortunately, it was not always able to keep the desired publivation date. As conclusion: the position of PB among approximately 4000 most prestigious international journals, included in the Science Citation Index, is slowly improving. The claim of the Editorial Board on publishing manuscripts in biomedicine and biochemistra has been substantiated by some numerical indicators. One of main goals must be to increase the number of reviewed papers published anually in PB. The direct constant care to decreasing the lag between the arrival of a manuscript and its printing is also important.
