Sažetak
In our previous studies an asymmetric reactivity to the first set of parental and F1 Hya-isografts was observed in (C57BL x C3H)F1 but not in (C57BL x CBA)F1 females, although both hybrid strains have the same H-2 b/k haplotype. To define this reactivity further, the second set of Hya-isograft was transplanted to females of three F1 hybrid strains, (C57BL x BALB)F1, H-2b/d, (C57BL x CBA)F1, H-2b/k and (C57BL x C3H)F1, H-2b/k. The recipient females were presensitized with the male skin graft. Three weeks later they were grafted with the second male skin graft on the opposite side of the trunk. The second grafts were inspected daily. They were scored as rejected if within three weeks after transplantation 90% of their surface necrotized, or if after three weeks the hair remnants could be integrated to an area of about 9 mm2. The results were compared with the rejection rate of the second-set skin isograft transplanted to C57BL females. The (C57BL x BALB)F1 females rejected both parental and F1 male second-set isografts within the same time, corresponding to the survival time of the second-set C57BL male isograft in C57BL females. The (C57BL x CBA)F1 females rejected all isografts more slowly but the delay was most pronounced during the rejection of the C57BL skin. In (C57BL x C3H)F1 females the rejection of C57BL male skin was delayed but, C3H and F1 male isografts were rejected faster. The results indicate that some non H-2 factors must be taken into account to explain the different rejection of parental and hybrid isografts in H-2 k/d identical females.
