Rad propituje razvoj dubrovačke diplomatske službe u 15 st. na osnovu niza identičnih parametara primjenjenih na dva poslanstva: oca i sina, Marina Nifikovog i njegovog sina Benedikta de Gondula aktivnih tijekom Dubrovačko-bosanskog, odnosno Konavoskog rata u poslanstvu kod bosanskog vojvode Sandalja Hranića.
