Sažetak
The Krk-breccia is widely exposed on the Island of Krk in eastern Adriatic Sea (Croatia), and covers area of 150km2. There are two main hypotheses on its origin: it can be either tectonical or sedimentary in origin. Herein we confront these two opinions, and discuss on their weaknesses and propose an alternative interpretation on its origin. The alternative interpretation is based on its physical properties which can be best explained in terms of an impact-crater fill.
