Sažetak
Quality improvement in healthcare consists of systematic and continuous actions that lead to a measurable improvement in healthcare services. Most important goals for improvement in healthcare are safe, effective, patient-centres, timely, efficient, equitable healthcare. Definition of the integrated care includes initiatives seeking to improve outcomes of care by overcoming issues of fragmentation through co-ordination of services of providers along the continuum of care”. COST Action CA15222 have aims to support the scientific research and technology development in the field of cost- containment in healthcare and maintaining the quality in healthcare. In the frame of the project some information about policies on cost and quality in heath care in EU countries has been collected. Questionnaire has been created in the framework of the work projects workgroup. Questions are about policy documents and strategies about cost containment and quality in health care, in different EU countries. Aim of this questionnaire is to find out similarities and diversities between countries, and find out target institutions in order to better plan activities for the dissemination of project COST CA 15222. Results show that countries have some differences in national policies on quality improvement and differences in implementation. However, all countries have similarities in goals for quality improvement in healthcare.
