Sažetak
Rhagoletis completa Cress. and Rhagoltis cingulata Loew. origin from North America. Today, in their homeland, walnut husk fly - R. completa is present in North America and Mexico, while north-american cherry fruit fly – R. cingulata is present in part of USA. R. completa was found in EPPO region for the first time in Switzerland and Italy during 1991. (Merz, 1991). Later, during 1999. year, this pest was found in Slovenia (Seljak, 1999, 2000) and during 2004. in Croatia (Budinšćak et.al., 2005). Very high population of the pest was found along the border line between Croatia and Slovenia. Today, R. completa is well distributed along Slovenia and Istria peninsulla of Croatia. R. cingulata was found in EPPO region for the first time in Switzerland during 1983. year (Merz, 1991), when it was miss indentified with Rhagoletis indifferens Curran. Later, this pest was found in Germany in 1993. and Netherland in 2001. year. R. cingulata was found in Croatia during 2006. (Bjeliš, 2007) and Slovenia during 2007. year (Seljak and Bjeliš 2008). Both pests distribution and quick spreading of theese fruit flies doesn't allow any possibilities of eradication measures. Phytosanitary status of R. completa and R. cingulata include them in the Anex 1 of the EU harmful organisms list, which express the need for the development of the international strategy against their spreading along the Adriatic basin area
