Sažetak
In a common dilemma or lack of knowledge the profession of a designer sometimes seems vague. This paper describes some basic terms and concepts in connection with design in general in view of what can be meant by this. The concepts in connection with design is specially pointed out, as well as the consequences that can arise from non-compliance with it. The concepts of construction and planning are discussed in the most general sense. The products that can be associated with industrial design are presented. Special attention is paid to the methods and levels of design as a possible basis for the theory of design. The system man-mashine-environment is introduced as a possible theory of design.
