Sažetak
The lecture provides a critical analysis of the newly introduced GDPR solution on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), in particular in terms of its intended goal and GDPR objectives, underlying issues of scalability and risk assessment methodology(ies), and overall efficiency. Analysis includes also a comparison to other impact assessment schemes, which are classified and appraised on the basis of their relevancy to main objectives of the new EU data protection framework. Results of analysis are presented into de lege ferenda proposals toward improvement of adopted solutions in the GDPR.
