Sažetak
Since its early beginning methods of discontinua have involved a number of independently developing computational approaches such as discontinuous deformation analysis (DDA), molecular dynamics (MD), discrete element method (DEM), combined finite-discrete element method (FDEM), smooth particle hydrodynamics (SPH), etc. In this paper some challenges on paradigm shifting developments to merge different methods under a common discontinua simulation platform are summarized.
