Sažetak
Satellite navigation has gradually become one of the essential technologies of modern civilization, driving a growing number of systems and services. While acting as an enabler technology, satellite navigation amps its embedded vulnerabilities and limitations to applications, making them at risk of satellite navigation positioning and timing services deteriorations and failures. Along with the embedded and natural causes of deteriorations and failures, the intentionally introduced threats have become the increasing matter of concern. With its roots in malevolent modifications of the information and signals needed for position and time determination, those threats are considered information security issues. The most dangerous of them is the issue called spoofing, when the attacker malevolently modifies the navigation message received by satellite navigation receiver to use in position determination process. Here we propose an infrastructure-by- infrastructure Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) anti-spoofing method that benefits all the parties involved. It allows for: (a) continuous monitoring of GNSS status and performance, (b) GNSS spoofing detection through observation of GNSS positioning performance, (c) utilization of the Long-Term Evolution (LTE) telecommunication network resources for GNSS spoofing mitigation. In proposed concept, a telecommunication network acts as a sensing device for GNSS spoofing detection and localization.
