Sažetak
The paper discusses werewolves in some South Slavic folk traditions. Werewolves as supernatural beings have a strongly marked presence in folk oral narratives, beliefs, and customs of this region. Apart from an overview of their main characterstics (appearance, activity, etiology) questions such as animality and the transformational potential of the dead human body are addressed as well.
