Smart textile structures are promising solution nowadays for in situ structural health monitoring of composite parts and conductive yarns as textile sensors can be integrated in textile structures by diverse technologies. In this work interest is focused on the structural health monitoring of textile reinforced thermoplastic composites with newly developed textile sensors in situ.
