Sažetak
Technical exploitation features of transport means are essential feature in choosing a vehicle in a public cargo traffic. The technical features of the ships are already predetermined in the process of its construction with its purpose and according to the purpose of certain types of transport services in public maritime freight transport. Exploitation features of maritime transport are the technical features of the ships associated with the production process of the transportation services in maritime transport system. Maritime freight transport today is an indispensable part of everyday life and it would have been impossible without ships carrying cargo from one location to another. Ships in maritime freight transport must comply various transport needs and most often refer to the type of substrate they transport. This paper presents the types of ships with regard to the type of substrate they transport ; the division of their technical features according to which the ship was manufactured and the connection of technical and exploitation features and their analysis.
