Sažetak
In recent years, dealing with rapid credit growth has been one of the main issues for central banks in the countries of Central, Eastern, and South-eastern Europe (CEE). In many ways, these episodes resemble the credit booms that took place in other countries and generally resulted in banking crises. Recognizing that the main challenge now is how to design policies to deal with such credit booms, central banks in the region are adopting a range of different measures depending on their specific circumstances.
