Sažetak
The subject of this work is a numerical analysis of fatigue in the frequency domain. In this work, a brief synthesis of the three areas of mechanics has been made: strength of materials, vibration theory and fatigue/fracture mechanics, using the finite element method as the main numerical algorithm. Several examples with known analytical solutions have been solved in detail. Analytical solutions have been critically compared with numerical solutions obtained by using commercial software packages by the company Dassault Systèmes: Simulia Abaqus, Fe-Safe, SolidWorks and Catia V5, with the addition of a software package MSC Nastran. The latest example was solved numerically using the software packages Simulia Abaqus and Fe-Safe exclusively, because the problem is very complex and analytical solution is unknown.
