Sažetak
The objective of this paper was to develop criteria for use by ship designers to evaluate the production costs differences among several design alternatives at concept/contract design stages. In general, present practices for such evaluation employ weight-related criteria. The particular objective was to arrange such criteria as a consequence of a procedure based more on the actual work content of the design rather than on its material weights. An additional proposal of the research is to apply or develop a method that could efficiently employ such criteria.
