Sažetak
This study surveyed by gender twenty year old Croatian university students (n=500) to determine the subjects' motivation to begin participation and end participation based on the programme quality and programme sport leadership. Descriptive statistics were calculated and the differences between groups were established using t-test and discriminant analysis. The results indicated a statistical significant difference in attitude and self- experience related to the role of the sport teacher compared to the gender of the children assessed. Likewise, the length of participation in the sporting activity by males and females was directly related to the leadership style perceived by the subjects. This and similar research indicate that gender cons that gender consideration need to be taken into account when evaluating youth sport programming and assessment of leadership.
