Sažetak
1D Fe(IO3)3 particles were synthesized and their structure/microstructure was confirmed with XRD and FE SEM. The UV/Vis spectrum showed a strong absorption in the UV region and a small relative intensity peak at 463 nm (2.68 eV) in visible region was tentetivelly assigned to the Fe3+ indicating the presence of the traces of additional phase. 57Fe Mössbauer spectra recorded between 294 and 4.3 K showed the magnetic transition around 16 K. Fully magnetic splitted spectra were recorded between 8 and 4.3 K. ZFC-FC magnetic measurements showed the antiferromagnetic behaviour of Fe(IO3)3. The results of magnetic measurements were in good agreement with Mössbauer spectroscopic results. Thermal decomposition of Fe(IO3)3 nanorods at 520 and 800 °C yielded α-Fe2O3 nanorods which were decreased in length and increased in width in relation to the initial 1D Fe(IO3)3 particles.
