Sažetak
Reliable and efficient functioning of a modern electrical power distribution system, which comprises numerous interacting subsystems (components of distribution system itself, distributed energy sources, storage units and consumers), is becoming increasingly important due to the growing penetration of distributed intermittent energy sources in power distribution systems. The dynamic interaction of locally managed subsystems gives rise to complex dynamic behaviour of the overall system and can lead to large-scale disruptions, i.e. black-outs in the electric grid. Hence, to achieve optimal operation of the power system, the operator must take into account dynamic behavior and constraints of the system. This thesis describes several methods for optimal coordinated and robust control of electrical power distribution system that can cope with scalability issues while maintaining an appropriate level of optimality and constraint satisfaction. The developed methods are validated on a number of numerical case studies ranging from a simpler microgrid system to a more complex large-scale model of the overall power distribution system based on real data.
