Sažetak
In this study we tried to explain the change of syntactic properties of language (length and complexity) in healthy elderly population. To this end we studied their cognitive functions (memory and attention) together with the language tasks. The findings indicate that memory decaying processes may be behind the change of linguistic properties of speech in elderly population, not changes in language itself.
