Sažetak
Rutin is natural antioxidant present in fruit, vegetables and some beverages, being integral part of the human diet. In this work influence of rutin on corrosion process of aluminium was investigated.Methods used for investigation were potentiostatic polarization and polarization resistance.Investigations were performed in 3% solution of sodium chloride as a model solution, in 10-2,10-3,10-4,10-5 mol/L aqeous solution of rutin, and in 10-2,10-3,10-4,10-5 mol/L solutions of rutin in 3% sodium chloride.The results showed that rutin added at concentration of 10-5 mol/L to the sodium chloride solution inhibited the corrosion of aluminium.The inhibition efficiency is results of protective film formed on the metal surface.At higher concentrations (10-2, 10-3, 10-4) mol/L rutin acts as activator on process of aluminium corrosion in 3% solution of sodium chloride. After electrochemical detections of rutin in solution which showed inhibitory effect, rutin concentration was determined by spectrofotometric method.
