Sažetak
High pressure die casting process is used for its high productivity of castings with high requirements on mechanical properties and surface quality. Carefully set technological parameters lead to efficient and defect-free castings. For AlSi9Cu3 aluminum alloy disc, two versions of the gating systems were designed ; with one and two ingates, and with different positions of overflows. Technological parameters, namely plunger speed, plunger acceleration and die temperature were varied. Simulation of filling and solidification was carried out using ESI QuikCAST 2014 software to determine influence of parameters on final quality of casted disc.
