Sažetak
This paper gives an overview of the results of acoustic measurements conducted on lightweight timber-frame elements with and without ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite System) outer surface, but different workmanship. The sound insulation properties of these elements were evaluated using the weighted sound reduction index Rw, with the Ctr spectrum adaptation term added to evaluate the behavior regarding traffic noise of the elements and also Ctr50-5000 for the evaluation including the low frequencies. Although the resulting single-number quantities (Rw, Rw+Ctr and Rw+Ctr50-5000) can have the same numerical value for the investigated elements, there are differences in the measured frequency-dependent sound reduction index R. The aim measuring the sound insulation characteristics is to investigate later on whether these differences are large enough to be significantly perceived by carrying out listening tests with the measured values of R used as the input for filtering different types of traffic noise to get the perception test stimuli.
