Sažetak
Improve model of the standard serial hybrid powertrain for city busses is presented. In classic topology recovered braking energy returns through the motor in the battery system. Improvements of the parallel combination with the Supercapacitors are used to overcome battery problem in dynamic regimes. A combination of solutions with the compressed air as a dynamic reservoir for the recuperation of braking energy and the use of ICE waste heat energy as an energy booster is improved of design. The waste heat energy of ICE, that represents 30% of the consumed fossil fuels potential energy, is transferred to compressed air high-pressure vessel and by adiabatic process total energy is raised. Simulation results show that average recuperated braking energy is equal to 5% of consumed fossil fuel potential energy. Improve design provides a rise of this to 15%, which is equal to the 70% of needed energy for vehicle acceleration. Thus ultimately provides a total reduction of fuel consumption by over 18% compared to the standard topology of SHEV. Also, the dynamic properties of the power drive are increased, which is analogous to a known solution of ultracapacitors parallel to the battery (electrical solution). Both solutions to the techno-economic indicators have equal cost investment and dynamic properties. The advantage of the presented system is that it takes advantage of waste energy, so the overall efficiency of the SHEV power drive is increased and CO2 emissions are reduced.
