Sažetak
Core-forming is one of the earliest glassmaking techniques evidenced in both nothern Mesopotamia and Syria in the mid-second millenium BC. Core- formed glass vessels were produced in the Mediterranean area between the sixth and the first centuries BC. In the permanent collection of the Archaeological Museum in Split there are 3 core- formed vessels which are part of so-called old inventroy. It is uncertain as to how and whence the vessels found its way into the Museum. Two amphoriskoi are found in Salona and one alabastron is from an unidentified site in Dalmatia. All the vessels are of Mediterranean Group III, dated in the second century BC to early first century AD.
