Sažetak
In this paper the rheological behavior of highly concentrated alumina (Al2O3) – zirconia (ZrO2) aqueous suspensions with different amounts of electrosteric polyelectrolyte as dispersant was investigated. A commercial polyelectrolyte Dolapix CE 64 (a carbonic acid based polyelectrolyte, free from alkali) was used as a dispersant. Prepared suspensions contained 70 wt. % of dry ceramic powder with the mass ratio of alumina to zirconia of 99:1 and 90:10. Rheological properties of prepared suspensions were determined by measuring the apparent viscosity at different shear rates. The alumina and zirconia powders were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
