Sažetak
This research was carried out in urban and rural schools in Croatia and Serbia during the school week in the winter period. Indoor and outdoor concentrations of nitrogen dioxide, formaldehyde and benzene were measured in 12 classrooms and at 4 outdoor points using the passive diffusion samplers and carbon dioxide was measured in 12 classrooms using the automatic CO2 sensors. The results showed differences between the concentrations of selected pollutants in the Croatian and Serbian schools. The indoor mass concentrations were 1.74 – 13.90 μg/m3 for nitrogen dioxide, <0.30 – 9.63 μg/m3 for benzene and 4.46-12.86 μg/m3 for formaldehyde. Outdoor mass concentrations were 2.66- 25.19 μg/m3 for nitrogen dioxide, <0.30 – 4.78 μg/m3 for benzene and 2.18-40.18 μg/m3 for formaldehyde.
