Sažetak
The chapter discusses the results of a study focusing on the acquisition of English determiners by L1 speakers of Croatian and L1 speakers of French - very advanced learners of English (university students of English). The main interest of this study was to establish whether Croatian as L1 (a -articles language) and French (a + articles language) respectively influenced the choices of the two groups of respondents.
