Sažetak
Renewal of the town is a continous process. The conditions for successful renewal of the town are strong support and determination of the local govermnet to implement the renewal. Planning of development of town and suburban areas needs to be coordinated in metropolitan and regional level. Measures that provide urban renewal are: stimulatinon of private investments, creating funds for renewal of abandoned properties, creating conditions for non government organizations for urban development and making development zones for business and industry. Basic ways of organization of city renewal are: institutions for stimulating the development strategies and important industries of the city, professional groups, local bussines and agencies for renewal of the town and town quarters.
