Sažetak
Two tapered structures for frequency-domain characterization of a wide-terminal 50-mOhm current-sense resistor are designed and presented. The structures are designed to achieve a uniform current distribution through the analyzed resistor. The designed structures are optimized in EM solver to achieve a 50-Ohm characteristic impedance. The lumped-element model of the analyzed resistor is extracted. The model parameters are optimized to fit the impedance characteristics obtained by measurements. The extracted model is valid in a broad frequency range and consists of frequency- independent components.
