Sažetak
The research purpose is to upgrade the mathematical modelling and computer simulation of welding of martensitic steel. Typical uses of martensitic stainless steel include making of surgical and dental instruments, scissors, tapes and straight edges. The martensitic class of stainless steels has limited weldability due to its hardenability. Special consideration is required to avoid cold cracking by preheating. Based on theoretical analyse of physical processes which exist in welding systems the mathematical model is established and computer software is developed for simulation of welding of martensitic stainless steel. The numerical model of welding of steel is consisted of two parts: numerical calculation of transient temperature field in process of welding, numerical calculation of microstructure composition, and numerical calculation of mechanical properties. The numerical model of transient temperature field is based on control volume method. The algorithm for prediction of mechanical properties and microstructure distribution in steel weld joint is based on CCT- diagrams and real chemical composition. The algorithm is completed to solve problems such as the welding of martensitic stainless steel. Physical properties that were included in the model, such as heat conductivity coefficient, heat capacity and surface heat transfer coefficient were obtained by the inversion method. The established model was successfully applied in the computer simulation of martensitic steel welding.
