Sažetak
During early autumn 2010 dengue outbreak was noted in Croatia. First dengue case was noted in German tourist who spends holydays in the small village of Podobuče, Pelješac peninsula, in August, 2010. Two additional cases, old woman and her daughter, were noted in beginning of October 2010. Dengue was confirmed clinically and laboratorial what put Croatia to group of European countries, together with Greece and France, which had autochthonous emergent disease. During October 2010 blood analysis people from infected village and nearby villages were done. Out of 112, 15 cases were positive to ELISA DNV IgM and IgG, what makes total of 18 people who had contact whit virus. Also extensive desinsection were done in the infected area. Dengue has become one of the most important emerging disease problems among international travelers, and risk is increased by presence of stabile population of vectos (Aedes albopictus) in Croatia which represent considerable alert of public health and other medical professionals in Croatia.
