Sažetak
The concept of Minimal Intervention Dentistry has become more implemented in every day practice because of increasing understanding of the caries process. Demineralized, non-cavitated enamel and dentin can be “healed”, which should switch treatment plan from surgical approach to the more preventive strategies with caries-risk assessment, early caries detection, intensive preventive/prophylactic measures together with patient education and behavior changes. Development of materials allow us to review the conservative treatment, and to implement a minimal intervention approach which involves: fluoride and/or calcium phosphate-based remineralization systems, dental sealants, resin infiltration, etc.
