Sažetak
On behalf of all those who have worked with Mirjana Eckert-Maksić, in celebration of her 70th birthday we are delighted to dedicate this issue of Croatica Chemica Acta to her. Mirjana's work has spanned a broad range of areas and led to notable results. Her contributions to physical organic chemistry, particularly as it pertains to the tailoring of guanidine superbases and excited dynamic simulations of the photodissociation of the peptide bond, are well recognized by the international scientific community. This festschrift in Croatica Chemica Acta features testimonies to Mirjana Eckert-Maksić's lasting contributions to chemistry and friendship. We express our sincere thanks to everyone who made this project possible.
