Sažetak
This book is an atlas of explanatory diagrams and text, as well as more than 2, 200 original images that guides the reader through normal mouse anatomy, histology, and imaging. It is targeted to researchers working with mice, laboratory animals, veterinarians and human pathologists. The book presents a complete, integrative description of normal mouse morphology, using correlative X-ray, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, and ultrasound images. It employs classical anatomical techniques such as conventional dissection, skeletal preparations, vascularinjections, and histological, immunohistochemical, and electron microscopy techniques to characterize mouse morphology. As the mouse model is one of the most important tools to understand gene function and their possible role in human diseases these animals literally dominate biomedical laboratories worldwide.
